Warlocks made it to Level 30!

Despite the Horde enjoyment of ganking my little team, they hit 30 tonight and I was able to enjoy my first Level 30 mounts.

Aside: It's so unfair... all the other characters I've leveled had to wait until 40. I'm turning into one of those old folks - "Heh, I leveled a druid to level 60, when they were hard!" and "I remember when Mor'ladim would spot you clear on the other side of the map and hunt you down even before he appeared on your screen... and he was a 35 elite!" and I'm sure I could go on and on and on...

I switched away from mainly using elaborate macros to mostly key bindings. It's much easier to know which button does what with which modifier now!

To make a long story short, I didn't realize there was a new boat from Stormwind Harbor, so I corpse ran my new level 5 warlocks to Menethil Harbor only to find no boat. Realizing my mistake, I quickly hearthed and got on the boat to Auberdine, and lined up in X formation to await the boat from the Draenei lands... Only to discover a level 70 undead priest running off the boat, and hitting one holy nova... My pvp flag was still on. Oops! But nice one for him!

Some have wondered what my set up looks like. This is the view on my second box, the one that runs the four.

In this shot, the Lemmings had recently been buffed red by the air totem giver (level 30).

My buttons have changed a bit over time, but I mostly use macros to bind the keys to different mod keys, like shift, alt, and ctrl, and some are rshift, lalt, etc.

Revenge on the Devilsaur

One of my first experiences with this beast was sudden death. It was rather rude, I thought. I had been stealthed and everything, but it was 5 levels above me and I had sat down to eat (as I ran off to get something in real life and asked my husband to watch my character for a moment - he said he heard a roar and two stomps...)

Tonight, one of these beasts took notice of my shaman team. They're level 51, he was 55 elite. I quickly dropped my stoneclaw totems, and turned around to see how well I would do. To my surprise, I killed him and none of the crew were missing! I then went on a Devilsaur rampage, I now have 8 hides in my collection!

Since it never happened unless there's a screenshot, here you go! This was devilsaur death #6, as I was escorting a goblin back to Marshall's Refuge.

My exercise in micro manage ment is quite enjoyable. What may be the most entertaining is the random comments I get from people thinking I'm either botting or cheating or a man. I point them to the EULA & Blizzard web sites and quickly run off to some other place. But chatting with real people who want to try the same thing is fun.

The girls now have a guild (thanks to all who helped!) and a tabard, perhaps now they will be seen as real players? Perhaps not.

Anyway, information about how to do this is at http://dual-boxing.com/. Hardware and software are the easy part, configuring your macros for your play style are the hard part! And, figuring out the healer... That's tough.

What I really enjoy is the full compliment of professions every time I play. Need to pick a weed, no problem! Oh, a vein - got it! Skin that beast, you bet! Disenchant that BOP item - got that too. Blacksmithing and Engineering are lagging a bit, but I'll try to work on those next time I play. It's nice to have someone to open those locked chests in the party!

In case you wonder about the gap in time since my last posting, I had stopped blogging because I was trying to update my alt manager in the time I wasn't playing wow. Unfortunately, it's still not adequate for public consumption.

Akalakuhn & Ekutakuhn dinged 70 mere moments apart, that's because I played them together. Galankuhn & Dariakuhn enjoy each other's company on occasion these days.

However, after hearing rumors and watching videos and as my latest plan to see the non-solo-able nor dual-able instances, I asked my wonderful husband to create a new box, capable of going further into this obsession. He out did himself, and now I am the proud micro manager of 5 tauren shaman. Everything dies in my path. At level 8, we took out a level 11 with two lightning bolts (each). I can't wait for them to grow up so I can "solo" any instance that is my level. And few things are more impressive than a line of tauren females doing the electric slide in perfect sync!

Minnikuhn had an adventure today! She went up and discovered the areas she's seen above Iron Forge when she's flown. Even though I've never seen any players up there, I saw a 31 druid and a 41 hunter as well! Guess everyone comes up for a looksie.

It's so nice to be back in the old digs again. I'm focusing on Finahkuhn (Dwarf Warrior) right now, I want to have at least a level 40 of each character in addition to the 60s I already have. It might be a bit before Galankuhn (Human Paladin) reaches 40, but then I will truly have one of each type of mount.

Mehlena and I have started questing again, we're trying to clean up loose ends on Silvermoon before Burning Crusade releases and we start new characters (again).

By request (thanks Shane :) I updated the template so Eku is included in the 60s. Unfortunately, I think I'll have to redesign this layout when Akala reaches 60, or there won't be enough room!

Tonight I'll try to upload some updated pictures of what the characters look like now. I'll also merge in Hanahkuhn (gnome warrior - 24), and possibly Eishakuhn (dwarf priest - 32) and Zulahkuhn (troll rogue - 36), maybe others if I can find space.

Ekutakuhn, my Troll Mage, hit the 60 mark this past weekend at just over 9 days play time. Not bad considering she was a bank for a while!

Trailing closely behind is Akalakuhn, my Orc Shaman, at 57. It may be a while before she hits 60, though, she doesn't have enough rest time to make the transition quickly!

Going for an Epic?

I think the time has finally come. I have been raiding Zul Gur'ub with my horde guild, and I'm having such a great time with them that I may actually invest in my warlock and get an epic mount. Another warlock in my guild has some of the mats that he said I could borrow, now I just need to do the quests.

Wow, I am amazed. Being a warlock is so much more fun that being a healer.

Mages are fun

I had planned to get my shaman as my next to 60 character, but I'm having so much fun with my mages, that I think my plan will change. My shaman is still fun, and now that I hid her hat and put on new pants, she's less offensive to look at.

Dariakuhn doesn't get much play time though, because her friend Cruwelknolle has been off line. There's already a 3 level gap between them, so she's on the shelf for a bit.

I respec'd Ekutakuhn (wish I could change that name!) to be an herbalist instead of a skinner, and that was a great choice! She's more than paid for the cost of training for both professions with this change. Now I need to get Zulahkuhn to 35 so she can train with a Master Alchemist.

It wasn't quite the plan, I had a mounted troll mage when my friend Cruwelknolle (human warlock) decided to start playing WoW. Dariakuhn (human mage) was simply a bank for Crixikuhn, and more rich than any of my other characters ever were, all at level 12.

Today, she bought her mount, making her my 8th mounted character. She'll probably get to 60, simply because she enjoys playing with Cruwelknolle, Shmendric (gnome mage), and Arrie (human paladin).

However, my next horde character to mount will be Akalakuhn for a wolf. I need to explore more of that story line. And I still need a Tauren Kodo, as well.

The extra human mount will have to make up for my lack of a paladin steed.

Ixazakuhn slides into 60

Ixazakuhn leveled in record time, only 9 days, 13 hours of play time. The 50s seemed to go the fastest, but I think it's because she didn't travel as much as the other 3 did. She would go to an area, and not leave until the quests were done, or not able to be completed at that time. Luckily, she was able to use the mailbox to send stuff to be "dealt with" in her absence!

Giant ghost appears to Redlikuhn

Redlikuhn was questing in the Wetlands, and was surprised by this giant ghost that appeared while she was speaking with an archeologist. Whilest he was un concerned, Red was concerned she's have to duke it out with this new guy.

I realized that it is imperative to have 2 characters in the same faction for each server. Otherwise, who will be the holding pattern for stuff? I had to create a new character on Kirin Tor because Crixikuhn is in Auberdine, far away from the Auction house, and it's not very convenient to get to the bank all the time. I've known this for a while, but it wasn't really in my plan to create another character.

Playing with Friends

BelSaKuhn and CriXiKuhn are new additions created to play with different IRL friends. BelSaKuhn (Tauren Druid) plays with Kileera (Tauren Hunter) when my friend comes over to play. CriXiKuhn (Gnome Warlock) plays with Jackshaftoe (Gnome Mage) and ZinoSpy (Dwarf Rogue).

On Saturday, when CriXiKuhn was born, my sides were hurting from all the laughing. My friend Jackshaftoe has a level 60 Warrior on a different server, and is not used to playing an easily squished short guy. The best time was when he charged into a camp of 7 gnolls in Westfall, only to be beaten down by the level 18 elite who had stopped by to check on things at the camp (we were 12/13). It was one of my best times playing yet. We'll have to do that more often! We'll probably die less now that our mage has trained in Frost Nova, but I expect the escapades have only just begun!

Melekuhn hits 59 in style

It was a red letter day for Melekuhn. She logged on and immediately found a pickup group for Sunken Temple. Not only did she get the quests done, but she found blue items for her chest piece, gloves, belt, wand, and a new trinket. She also got a better hat. There were some blue pants that she earned as well, but the green ones she has on are better for her play style, so she got a small brilliant shard instead. She also hit 59.

Ghostly Undead

Ixazakuhn landed in Thunderbluff and stayed the night at the top of the landing platform, but when she woke up, she had turned pale white. I wonder if she contracted some strange sort of Undead White Out sickness? She later discovered several all black characters, who must have the opposite disease.

Shadow priest rules

Melekuhn respec'd to be Shadow/Discipline a while ago, and has been taking names and spanking the tar out of evil baddies since. These days she only dies when I do something stupid, like run thru a densly populated area with no shield, or drag the potion off the bar instead of drinking it...

Earlier this week, she was in the Burning Stepps and level 52 (though she hit 53 later that evening). She took on 2 53s without batting an eye, and then a 54 attacked after they died, and she still lived! She would have taken out the 56 and 54 if the 56 hadn't been able to resist her spells. So sad... But this is simply amazing since her favorite thing to do was die during her teens. She can take out evil baddies that would have caused Ra to seriously consider, with only a moments notice. Having Mind Scream helps on occasion too.

But tonight was a blue letter night. While questing in Felwood, 3 blues dropped in about 15 minutes! Battlecaller Gauntlets, Frenzied Striker, and Viking Warhammer. Ra spent a lot of time in Felwood, and nothing that good ever happened to her there. Melekuhn also got some nice green shoulders, Arachnidian Pauldrons of the Eagle, and earlier this week two nice green staffs dropped within 5 minutes, Thaumaturgist Staff of the Bear and Diviner Long Staff of Intellect. Luckily, she had equiped the better staff, and the lesser staff dropped second...

The blue stuff will go up for auction tomorrow night to get the best prices. She used to be dirt poor, now she will probably pay back her cousins. ;)

Rasikuhn finally makes it to 60

It took a long time because I'm easily distracted, but Ra is now level 60. She already has a good start on getting better gear, with two pieces of the Wildheart set and the Ghoul Skin leggings. At 56 she was invited to a Stratholme run where she picked up the gloves and the pants. Later that night she did a Scholomance run because of a misunderstanding, but it was fun. With a nice staff and cloak from the Sunken Temple, she's looking pretty good. Now, I need to make time to take her into instances so I can get even better gear, and eventually save enough money to get an epic mount.

Ra was helping Zino finish quests in Winterspring when the big moment occured, I believe it was killing a Winterfall Pathfinder.

Rasikuhn gets to 54

Despite being put on the shelf for many months, Ra has emerged stronger than ever. I have enough characters near 50 that I can play one of those with Zinoviev if he decides to play again, but he prefers Zinomagi these days.

I formed a pickup group in Iron Forge for the Sunken Temple that turned out great! Pickup groups don't usually go that well. We didn't have a tank, so Ra (jack of all trades) the druid used bear form. It was my first time as the main tank in a group, it was fun. We did very well, and almost took out the last dragon, but we need a real tank for that.

It was a comedy of errors on my part, though. I forgot an item in the bank that I needed for one of the quests, and got confused and took a BOP item when looting - there were 2 of them and I misunderstood what the roll was for, since we wanted the enchanter to get a shard from it for us to roll on. :(

Ra still has most of the bar to 55 as blue (rest bonus) so she'll be there next weekend perhaps? I'll call on one of my new buddies to go questing in the Plaguelands. There was a quest there that I can almost do, but there are too many guys surrounding the caudron for me to complete alone without vanish. :( Maybe some of them will decide to join my guild, one of them, Laady, seems to have the same multiple personality play style I have.

Ekutakuhn got to level 17, and met some new friends too. Mages are also a lot of fun.

Minnikuhn hits 50

While checking out the Un'goro crater, some guy attacked Minnikuhn for no reason. She was just checking out the little flowers that were worshipping him. Obviously, she killed him for the affront, but he flagged her as PvP which was a bit of a bummer.

A bit later, a guy who didn't like the guy she killed asked Minnikuhn to stop and kill the bigger flowers while she was out and about so he could play a joke on that guy.

While killing the pleasant little poisonous flowers, she noticed some elite dinos wandering around. She just dodged out out of their way and didn't bother them.

Once, when she had killed all the little flowers in the area, she mounted up and rounded a tree - right into an invisible Elite Dino (lag) and sap beast. A short moment later, she was running ghost-like back to her body.

Not too much later, Minnikuhn had to stop and take a break while eating. I was hungry too, so Minni stealthed and kept eating while I ran up to the kitchen.

One moment later, Zino yells "Oh no!" and I ran back to see Minnikuhn lying dead, and an evil elite dino walking past. Aparently, he didn't even see her, just two steps and she was a ghost yet again. It was so tragic.

Melekuhn running from certain death

On the way to Theramore from Menethil with several other players the boat suddenly disappeared and we all ended up in the drink with fatigue bars engaged. Luckily, Melekuhn was able to jump up out of the water and start running (levitation) back to shore. One renew was cast and she just made it back into the harbor before she suffered the fate of the other players... death on the high seas with only the Spirit Healer for consolances.

I remember when her favorite thing to do was die. But now, she's a force to be reckonned with, very powerful, capable of holding her own and living to tell about it. Her health rarely goes below half, Improved Powerword: Shield is great!

She hit 39 tonight, but since she has enchanting she's very poor. She's started selling the reagents for enchanting, not only to get money for the mount (planning for a chestnut mare) but to free up bank space! Luckily Minnikuhn sent her a really nice staff that dropped from a wolf in Feralas, not sure what the wolf was doing with the Spiritchaser Staff of Stamina, but Minni knew a great gift for her cousin on sight.

Both Minni and Rasi are planning to send some cash gifts to help with the mount purchase, they'll be short for a while, but they have easy access to enchanting reagents if they ever need them. Besides, it's all in the family, right? ;)

Defining a hotfix

A hotfix is a specific set of files that are updated. A patch usually has several files that will be updated. For a full release I would expect to have to reinstall.

Why doesn't Blizzard understand this? Why do I have to completely reinstall every single time they fix a single file? I know I only downloaded a small thing, it only took 1 minute. But the update takes forever because I can see it going thru each and every file.

For the orphans

Akalakuhn went to Orgrimmar today and saw little orc children following other horde members around, so she went to the orphanage and picked one up too.

He wanted to go around and see the world, then get a hoofprint from the Tauren chief and some ice cream, so even though she's very young herself, she spent the time with him and ran all around. It was fun.

So fun, Rasikuhn went to Stormwind and did the same thing by picking up a little human child and showing him around. They went to the lighthouse, the massive dam, and the living tree bank in Darnassas. After getting Jaine Proudmore's autograph and an ice cream, he went back to the orphanage. That was a nice touch.

Minnikuhn heard rumors about a Big Iron Fishing Pole off the shore of Desolace near a horde encampment. She meant to stop in the auction house to pick up a couple underwater breathing potions, but got distracted by many things, as she is prone to do, and headed off to Desolace without them.

No big deal, although she did drown once, but she found one for herself and another for her friend Melekuhn. Rasikuhn will be making the trip shortly to get one for herself as well.

PvP "Honor" system - hogwash

This new PvP Honor system is nothing short of irritating. If I wanted to go to town and find all the quest givers dead, battling or otherwise unavailable, I would have gone to a PvP server. Now, the opposite faction thinks it's fun to descimate a small town where newbie characters are trying to level. How impressive, that you and 50 of your friends can come to a little town and kill the whole population of about 20. Yeah, that's cool, oh, wait, I mean "kewl". What is that?

I'm not against raids. I think it's interesting to watch factions go into major cities and try to see how far they can get. But come on! Go somewhere that requires a little challenge.

Patch days

Patch days are so sad. No one can play, everyone is taking up internet bandwidth with a massive download from a few central servers. And while we wait, we have to revert to our old hobbies or doing something useful with our time, like cleaning the house? There's laundry to do... Or perhaps reading or watching a movie would be a good use of my time? But I'd rather blog about my woes instead. ;) Perhaps I'll call a friend who understands. I can't even access the wow website to whine with the other hundreds of thousands of disgruntled patch prisoners.

Zino bought me a notebook cooler, which is very nice, it makes playing on my laptop bearable. He also added more memory, which is very nice, but I really notice when I don't use the cooler.

New Swords for TheRaKuhn

MinNiKuhn had sent a level 19 sword to TheRaKuhn for future use, and it works nicely. It's called the Decapitating Sword of Strength.

But while she was running to the lighthouse in Westfall to speak with the ghost keeper about some oil, she spotted Old Murk Eye. Temptation got the better of her and soon she was hacking and slashing at him... before she remembered there was a quest to do that. But it was a good choice since he dropped a lovely blue sword, the Night Watch Shortsword. Combined with a Prairie Ring of Agility from either MinNiKuhn or MeLeKuhn, she's looking pretty good at level 20.

I decided that Redlikuhn needed to get busy on Blacksmithing so she could send a silver rod to Melekuhn (enchanting reagent). Because of this, she went from 14-17 tonight. Yippee! She can't create that rod yet... but soon.

As she was out and about, she did quests (obviously) and one of the drops was a nice cloak. Great! So I put it on her, and... Melekuhn hit level 22, so she was able to put a new robe on. It's purple, which goes "well" with her green cape. Oy... It didn't look purple in the bag...

Wand for Ixazakuhn

Unless you're an enchanter, it's difficult to come across a wand! I ended up taking Ixazakuhn to Ogrimar to see if there was something I could afford in the Auction house. I was able to find a wand for a somewhat reasonable price, but for a level 12 (the ones for level 9 were more expensive or didn't have a buy out). So I guess I'll spend some time with her so she can equip that weapon.

Unfortunately, the system seemed to be down, it was stuck "Authenticating" me. :( But I just got in. Hurray!

Minnikuhn was far out matched by the slim, oozes and such in the dungeon. Luckily, Zinoviev came in and helped. We got the dagger on the second kill of the beast. Hip-hip-hurray!

Unfortunately, my gnome rogue uses two swords for fighting. I have a crummy little dagger in my bags that I use when I need to backstab, but that's not very efficient. A good dagger that I could always have equipped would make her much more effective.

A friend at work got this http://www.thottbot.com/?i=9007 and I am going to take my little rogue (29) in by herself and see if I can get it. No harm in trying, stealth, poison, healing potion, bandages, Thistle Tea and a couple of other potions from the druid like agility and defense! Should be worth it. I can try to finish one or two other quests at the same time, like syphoning off the radiation from the troggs.

I knew that thottbot could gather stats on characters, but I just discovered how after this latest Cosmos UI patch. It's simply a setting, so I added it to each of my characters. I hear it takes a few days to go into effect, so if the links are broken, it's just temporary.

I needed and engineer, so I created a Night Elf Rogue, TheRaKuhn. She hit level 2 in 5 minutes, 3 in just under 12, 4 in just over 22, and 5 in just under 41. It sure is easy when you know where everything is. Now I can start mailing her stuff for engineering.

15. You can get help
When you can't figure out how to do a quest, you can send a message on the main channel for help or search a number of websites. In real life if you can't figure out how to do something, tough, you have to figure it out - only once in a while can someone offer a quick tip that makes it all clear.

16. No status reports
You will get to something or you won't, but you don't have to send mail to anyone letting them know when you'll be done. :)

Re-training the priest

MeLeKuhn is a priest. I don't like playing her much since she dies all the time. She's a level 16.

I was using her to send potions to MinNiKuhn, but since RaSiKuhn already has all those abilities and more, MeLeKuhn was basically just a bank with an occasional low level herb run. But today, I realized I could unlearn her talents and try something different.

She is now a tailor/enchanter. I took RaSiKuhn soloing thru the Dead Mines for cloth and green items. It was very successful. Currently, MeLeKuhn (after just one night) is 69 in Tailoring and 29 in Enchanting! Tailoring will jump significantly with the next mail delivery, there's a lot of linen enroute. She can't use the wool that's there yet, needs just 6 more tailoring points. I want to wait, but it's already pretty late... I should go to bed...

I could start a list of people I know in real life who play WoW. Technically, there's already one for where I work, but not everyone updates that page...

This game creates interesting hallway conversations. One of my coworkers claims he doesn't play... But then why did I see someone named "Vaevictus" in the Illuminati guild I joined tonight with Mehl? Coincidence? I think not.

Another Character

A friend of my husband suggested trying a character on a PvP server, that it's a different playing experience. So I started TyrAsKuhn on Daggerspine where some of my friends have them. So far, it's not much different. I chose a Night Elf Druid because I love playing RaSiKuhn so much. Also, if I'm going to be challenged by other characters at the drop of a hat, I need to know how to handle my character well.

It took about 1 hour to get to level 6, 1.5 hours to get to level 7, just over 2 to get to level 8 and about 3 to get to level 9 Sunday evening.

"Girl" Toonz Guild

This past weekend, Minnikuhn was invited to join a guild. Since the person actually spoke to me before simply inviting me (usually an invite just pops up on my screen), I thought I'd try it. The guild is called "The Pink Panthers". They are a guild restricted to all female characters, but I guess it's not uncommon to have men playing women & vice versa.

Anyway, I won't remain with the guild. They seemed to be on some sort of recruiting spree, the only qualification is "girl toon". It's not like my other guild, where we're friends and enjoy questing together when we're able.

Also, one of the main people is somewhat crude, I think "she" is actually a he. I asked about the tabards, what they look like, and all that person could say was they look "sexy". I'm not in this game for things like that. Sure, I want to look cool and stylish, but I get tired of the naked dancing people trying to be distracting.

Anyway, I found someone wearing the tabard. They are hot pink with a white cartoon kitty face design. I just can't do that.

Putting Trolls in their place

A troll came into Darkshore yesterday. I (MinNiKuhn) was out skinning beasts for leather and I saw him kill a level 17 (I was a 20). I couldn't see what his level was, but I announced his presence on the main channel and told people where he was.

As he was taunting me to see if I'd go PvP, Fedahis, from Alliance of the Stars, rode up on his cat and took the troll out. Fedahis is a level 47 from RaSiKuhn's guild. It was GREAT to watch! Minnikuhn was cheering him on the whole time. Apparently, Fedahis was in the area mining, and had just been waiting for one to show up.

My characters run everywhere, fight a lot and look very buff. If I did all the things the character did, wow, I'd be in great shape!

What I wish was different in WoW

This is a much shorter list. In fact, I only think of one at the moment.

1. Social justice

I wish there was a way to report and record bad behavior, so anyone could see your "rap" sheet - like the guy who came and stole the herb I had been trying to pick, but was attacked by two separate spiders before I could finish. There should also be a way to clear your name, however, by making amends, by getting others to "forgive" or "pardon" you of those crimes.

I wish there was jail sentence. Some rogue stole a chest from a guy who entrusted it to him for opening. The guards should have put that theif in jail for stealing, and we could have had a trial by jury. This kind of example would keep that type of crime down significantly.

I've been spending a bit of time thinking about this. Why is this game so addictive? What is it that makes me YEARN to play? Here are some of the reasons in no particular order:

1. Death is not the end - aka immortality
When you die, it's just a little hiccough in your life, it's not horribly monumental. Just go find your body and try not to do it again for a while.

2. Satisfaction of a job well done - Completion
Everytime I get a task and complete it, the person thanks me for it and rewards me somehow, even if it's just XP.

3. Clear objectives and list of things to do
It's obvious if you have succeeded or failed. There is a counter which keeps track and keeps you on task. Also, if you don't know how to find something, just ask on the main channel, or look it up on one of the many websites with helpful tips and cheats.

4. No one remembers your failures
If you fail a quest, you can simply abandon it. Then, when you're ready, go back to the person and pick it up again. They don't judge you for failing, in fact, they don't even remember that they already gave that to you once before.

5. Procrastination rarely penalized
If I don't clean the kitchen, something may walk out of my refrigerator when company stops by. But if I take a few weeks to go kill something in the game, the only penalty is fewer XP points.

6. Be your own boss
Since we are basically self employed, and can choose which jobs to take and when to do them. You can also choose not to do something you simply don't like to do.

7. Unlimited World Travel
Nothing stops you from travelling the world. It is free to stay at an inn, they always have room, flights are pretty cheap ad sometimes even free, boats are free

8. Satisfaction of learning and growing
You get to learn and grow all the time. Once you're trained in a profession, you just keep practicing and you never mess up. Everyone can be a great cook, fisherman or physician. And the primary professions can be quite lucrative.

9. Commerce and economic education
I have learned more about commerce since I started playing this game. I like being the middle man, I get lots of money that way.

10. Pets without allergies
They follow you around and look cute. They don't get lost, and when you think they've run away, just check the crate... they are there! No sneezing or itching or complaining.

11. No fear of being maimed
I can be less than a millimeter from death, or even die, and all I have to do is eat something, take a potion, apply a bandage, or magically be healed. No broken bones, no road rash, no gaping wounds, no loss of limb.

12.... I think I'll just have to keep adding to this list over time...

At work today, I was typing up meeting notes from the previous day, and when I went to write down a note about working with a specific coworker on a project, the only name I could think of was Fedahis. The coworker's name begins with an F, and I haven't met him in real life yet, but Fedahis is a friend from my guild - Alliance of the Stars. I'll have to remember to tell him that.

Someday it would be fun to get the members of our guild together IRL. Giliath & Mestorius, Fedahis, Jinsong, Evan, Bloodbringer, Gardar, myself & Zinoviev and the others.

Enjoying Min Ni Kuhn

My husband, Zinoviev, has been building out a new machine for me to play with. His laptop (Dell XPS) does well with the game, but the other computers in the house don't handle the load as nicely. It's so nice of him to do this for me, I would never try to put a computer together. He also has school work to do, so he wasn't playing much this weekend.

Since Ra Si Kuhn is already level 43, and Zinoviev is still near the beginning of level 42, I stopped playing her this weekend and worked a bit on Min Ni Kuhn. She is a gnome rogue, with skinning and leatherworking. I'm having a lot of fun with her! Starting at level 11 on Friday or Saturday, she's now level 17.

Iron Forge Lag

I've noticed lag before when I enter Iron forge, or even just the auction house, but periodically, my computer completely stops responding when I am looking at the staves that are available and I have to kill the program. :(

Periodically, I get irritated with a character, such as my priest who does nothing but die, it seems, and I leave them alone for a while. I like that when I go back, they are well rested and I get double points! Nice feature. Only works if I stay in an Inn, though.

WoW or Sleep, one of them has to go

I confess, I'm addicted. Like nothing ever before, I LOVE THIS GAME!
I enjoyed Zelda immensely. I liked KOTOR as well. Fable was nice. WoW is FLAT ADDICTIVE!
A coworker asked what I liked to do before, and I told him I like people, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. He gave me a great quote: People are cool, but that was before WoW.

Misery loves company
I wonder how many other people are as sad as I am? I just tried again, which I'm sure is not helping their situation over at WOW. Too bad there's not a pre-login forum for us to commiserate and whine about how much we miss our characters, how eager we are to go kill that evil baddie beast, and in all ways put as much pressure as we can on the poor saps who have to fix the brokenness. I just hope it's not a scale issue. That would be incredibly bad planning on their part if it is.

New character
I got to play with some other friends on Saturday. Zinoviev & I created new human characters and played until 4AM. Yikes!
The new character is a human priest. She's much better as a support person than a melee person, it's better if I just heal people and cast a spell or two instead of rushing in to get slaughtered.
I chose a name I used with KOTOR 1, which is also where this name comes from. Although, it was Rah Si Kun with strange characters, but my husband pointed out that the h should be in the last name. I think next time, I will just have two h's for kicks.
But I'm surprised how many human female characters have names starting with Me.
Meh le Kun was the KOTOR 1 character, so MeLeKuhn is the WOW character. My friend Mehlena is a human paladin and my other friend Lewstring is a human mage. It's his first time with an MMLRPG so he's having fun learning and dying. I hope he keeps at it, it can take a while to get the hang of things.

World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft is an amazing game. I even enjoy the occasional bug I come across.
My character is a Dark Elf Druid. My husband Zinoviev bought WOW for me last week and I'm already level 16. I'm also quite tired. ;)
I have learned the professions of herbalism and alchemy, and secondary cooking and fishing. I wish real life was as easy at this!
